Weaver's Book of 8-Shaft Patterns From the Friends of Handwoven by Strickler, Carol ISBN: List Price: $ $ $ Own it? Sell it back for $ Handweaving in the Swedish tradition: techniques, patterns, designs and materials. Appropriate for beginners, study groups, and experienced weavers alike, this world renowned reference book provides all you need to know about handweaving in the Swedish : Halcyon Yarn. This book by Lindsey Campbell for anyone that is new to weaving. You will learn 30 different weaving techniques which you will be able to apply right away with one of the 17 projects mentioned in the book. Since the book contains more than photos and every project is done on a small frame loom, even absolute beginners can easily follow along. Finger weaving is a basic weaving technique that doesn’t require any equipment. All you will need is to attach the threads to something stable like a table clamp, hook or doorknob. A big difference with other weaving methods is that you won’t need separate weft and warp threads since the threads will function as both.
